Food Verifier / Environmental Health Officer
Mo te tūranga | About the position
As a Food Verifier / Environmental Health Officer, you'll ensure compliance with the Food Act 2014, Health Act 1956, local bylaws, the Resource Management Act 1991, and the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. Your duties will include planning and executing verifications to ensure they are completed within required timeframes, overseeing compliance, and educating Tairāwhiti on food and health regulations.
Reporting to the Team Leader Environmental Health and working in the greater team of seven people.
You’ll recognise the importance of the role as a Treaty partner and understand how that underpins Gisborne District Council’s work.
