A bit about you: If you want to be front-line in ensuring our district’s resources are managed for a sustainable future we want you! Ideally you will have sound knowledge and experience of resource management law or compliance monitoring, however we welcome applications from early career professionals with an appropriate science qualification or persons with life experience in farming, forestry or industrial environments looking for a career change. You will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical requirements, have excellent written communication skills, and hold a full driver licence. You will be required to have tough conversations on occasion, but be able to deliver these with empathy, tact and understanding.
Your day will look like: Variety! With a mix of both office-based and field inspections you will be able to plan your week to take advantage of the weather that best fits with your monitoring activities and report writing. On site visits you will be working alongside consent holders, customers, staff, and industry groups to identify solutions that achieves positive compliance outcomes. In the office you will be supported by an enthusiastic team that contains a wide range of experience and expertise, to guide you in your decision-making of compliance education and enforcement tools.
